||Hi, I'm an algorithm competitor.
I recently use topcoder forum to discuss things about SRMs or topcoder, but recently I noticed some point.
When I see old (like 2010-2014) topcoder forum post, there are many votes like +30 or -20.
When I see recent marathon match post, there are many votes like +15 or -10.
But, many recent posts in algorithm matches (like SRMs) is not highly voted and I rarely see posts which number of votes is more than 3.
I completely don't see posts which number of votes is more than 10.
Why? Algorithm competitor who see forum is decreasing? Or algorithm competitors don't know how to vote?
Anyway, many votes makes post rating more clear and it's good.
And if you don't know how to vote, I'll explain now:
There's a header (like "Votes on algorithm forum are decreasing? | Feedback: (+0/-0) | [+] [-] | Reply") in each post, and clicking [+] or [-], you can vote.
So, if you click [+], you upvoted, and if you click [-], you downvoted.
Additionally, who upvoted and who downvoted is not be visible by others including post author.
Did you get it?
