Anyone looking for a job? | Reply
Like the title states? Is anyone out there looking for a job or having trouble?
Re: Anyone looking for a job? (response to post by revtekniques) | Reply
Yes, I am looking for a job and having trouble.
Re: Anyone looking for a job? (response to post by tavbert) | Reply
Tavbert, I believe Brian Flood is setting up interview with you and Gentiva right? I will ask Brian to follow up with you.
Re: Anyone looking for a job? (response to post by revtekniques) | Reply
Been working on some Gentiva application projects through TC. A nice database backend schema, well maintained, and extensively modified application base.

Good luck Tav!

That interview has come and gone, still looking for job and still having trouble.
Re: Anyone looking for a job? (response to post by revtekniques) | Reply
Yes. I am having trouble, but I am not looking for a job. ;-)

I didn't think so, because I sent you an email about 2 months ago to try to get you to consider a company. :)
Re: Anyone looking for a job? (response to post by revtekniques) | Reply
Yes I am looking for a new job because my current job involves no programming.
Re: Anyone looking for a job? (response to post by revtekniques) | Reply
Hi revtekniques,

What's the significance of your color? I checked your statisics and that produced nothing...

Can we have an introduction?

I'm personally looking for a job, not really having trouble though, then again things I categorize as trouble don't really related to a job.

Any help with the girls?

hehe, you haven't noticed the other occasional orange coloured handles?

Anyway, orange = admin.
Re: Anyone looking for a job? (response to post by NeverMore) | Reply
Colorblind, tend not to distinguish too much by color; force of habit...

Besides, type of admin may deliver some light as to the nature of the inquiry. Suicide missions are a pain, though combat pay is nice.

Hai-Son, It's John, I submitted you to Comac for that .NET position. Orange are admin colors. And no I can't help you out with the girls. :)

Hai-Son, I submitted you to Comac for that .NET position. Orange is for the admins. And no I cannot help you out with the girls. You have great communication skills, I am sure you are doing just fine. :)
Re: Anyone looking for a job? (response to post by revtekniques) | Reply
Thanks for the compliment, I attribute my communication skills partly to my first experience in the industry, SIT; we were ranked the #1 company in Legacy Integration, at the time.

Communication is the essence of everything we do and tasks that need accomplishing.

BTW: Ranking source was the Gartner Group.

Hmmm...

The disappearing admin...

A new case!
Re: Anyone looking for a job? (response to post by PuffRing) | Reply
I did not disappear, and to prove it, I replied to your last post TWICE! :)

Hi John!!

... John's cool, tech background, gets to the point, and finds my quarky stories interesting.

:)

You don't have any problems finding a job. The only problem I have with you right now is trying to find you a job before you find one yourself... :)

Answered on your mail.

I'm always looking for an opportunity - but am not a US citizen. What is the success rate of non US citizens getting jobs through TC? I know that working visas can be organized, but it has to be initiated through the employer.

Does TC cater much to the international market, or are most of your job placements USA only at this point?

Just curious.
Thx

Unfortunately, right now all of our positions are in the U.S. We are working with some international companies, but have not yet gotten to the point where we are able to recruit outside the U.S. for them. We did have a client (CSFB) take a look at several TopCoder profiles in the U.K. for their London operations about a month ago, but have had no success so far.

Thanks very much for the swift feedback.

I'll have to just continue striving towards my goal of qualifying for an onsite event to "network" with the sponsors. :)

Is there another Google codejam this year?

Thx

There are some companies that are in the pipeline that would need security clearance. Why do you ask?
