Good luck everyone these last few weeks!

Could you please explain how points are added for F2F?
I see that first place user has points for https://www.topcoder.com/challenge-details/30050998/?type=develop
but it's UI Prototype Competition, not F2F.

these are all updated now.

if you see any issues, let me know.
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by jmpld40) | Reply
Hi Jessie, are we going to just have 2 finalists in every period of TCO 16? For UI design? For last TCO, they took 3 place for the finalist.. Thank you!
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by nexttopdesigns) | Reply
It would be nice if we get an answer for this for other tracks as well. If I get third place in this period, I have no idea whether I need to try in the next period or not. That's a pretty bad situation to be in.

Please clarify.
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by nexttopdesigns) | Reply
I don't have the number of finalist per stage just yet but as soon as I do I will let you know. There are a number of internal items we're sorting out now before I can do that. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience!

f2f is still not correct
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by Sky_) | Reply
Hi Sky_! I've checked and made an adjustments accordingly, would you mind checking if that is okay now?

Thanks for your feedback.
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by quesks) | Reply
The overall number of projects seems to be low.

for example:

https://www.topcoder.com/challenge-details/30051438/

I don't see integratiab in leaderboard
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by Sky_) | Reply
It seems some challenges are not yet tagged as tco16 eligible. I already informed support for this.

Thanks!
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by quesks) | Reply
yeah ...i won in an f2f but i don't see my name in the f2f leaderboard ...i suppose that challenge was not tagged as tco16 eligible ...
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by daga_sumit) | Reply
They are not yet but they should be, we're still looking on this.
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by quesks) | Reply
This one is also not presented in the leaderboard https://www.topcoder.com/challenge-details/30051480/?type=develop&lc=

This one F2F we're still fixing, just an FYI.
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by jmpld40) | Reply
Is leaderboard for design challenge already closed & fixed? How about the prize for the winner? Thank you!
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by nexttopdesigns) | Reply
Prizes for TCO15 wii be awarded in Jan-Feb 2016.
For TCO16 we must wait more than 1 year.

Thank you :)
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by jmpld40) | Reply
Jessie,

I think there is a bug in UI Design leaderboard periode 2.

I saw in http://tco16.topcoder.com/user-details/?period=2&track=ui-design&handle=sitimaryam
in main leaderboard it shows sitimaryam total point= 560, but in user detail (above url) only shows 400 point.
i didn't check each of all handles point.

Hope this can be fixed

Thanks

Hi, until when period 2 is over? What point is obtained when the designer submit? or when final end approve?
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by jmpld40) | Reply
jmpld40 F2F leaderboard is incorrect - it does not take into account the following challenges:
https://www.topcoder.com/challenge-details/30052473/?type=develop
https://www.topcoder.com/challenge-details/30052536/?type=develop

smtryingcode,

Those urls are giving me blank content. I also can't find them in the past challenge.

Can you provide more details please.

Thanks!

Hi quesks,

Even I am not able to access challenge spec page for both the challenges, but I can see both in scorecard page.

In case if you can access these, please see these links:

https://software.topcoder.com/review/actions/ViewProjectDetails?pid=30053138

Or see my scorecard screenshots for both the challenges (challenge id 30053140 and 30053138):

Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by smtryingcode) | Reply
The problem is they don't exist in the TC API. See these URLs
https://api.topcoder.com/v2/develop/challenges/30053140/
https://api.topcoder.com/v2/develop/challenges/30053138/

I'll ask support and ask what's going on with these challenges.

Thanks!

Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by jmpld40) | Reply
Hi, I have a question:

What does "If more than five (5) submissions pass review..." mean? (Scoring in the Competition is determined based on the final ranking for a Contestant’s submission )

Is "pass review" the number of submissions in "final submissions" or is the number of submissions with a prize (declared as winners)? This question is important because affects placement.

For example, wireframe contests use to have 5 or more final submitters and I'm only seeing points given to winners, for the two or three winners... is this correct? In that case there are some situations that I don't understand how are you taking them into account, I'm not sure those are distinguished right now:

What if in a contest....

- ... there are three contest prizes (final prizes), 5 final submissions, and only two submissions were declared as winners (had a prize)? (3 prizes, 5 submissions, 2 winners)

- ... there are three prizes, 5 final submissions, and three submissions were declared as winners (had a prize)? (3 prizes, 5 submissions, 3 winners)

- ... there are three prizes, 3 final submissions and all of them had a prize? (3 prizes, 3 submissions, 3 winners)

- ... there are three prizes, 2 final submissions and all of them had a prize? (3 prizes, 2 submissions, 2 winners)

If the prizes where 1600, 600, 300 what percentage of points are you giving in each case?

Thanks!
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by f0rc0d3r) | Reply
It does not depend on the number of prizes. The submissions with score >= 80 are ordered and 5 top are used. So, all submissions with score < 80 are not taken into account.

>If the prizes where 1600, 600, 300 what percentage of points are you giving in each case?

If more than 4 submissions have score>=80:
1st = 1600*56%=
2st = 1600*20%=
3st = 1600*10%=
4st = 1600*8%=
5st = 1600*6%=
all other = 0
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by seriyvolk83) | Reply
Design side contests don't use this rating of >80% like development ... is pass or don't pass... (anyone tell me if I'm wrong...)

So, according to your answer in wireframe leaderboards there are a lot of missing points....
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by f0rc0d3r) | Reply
Then it's even simpler. Just change "score>=80" to "all passed".
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by seriyvolk83) | Reply
Someone should take a look at this then... a lot of missing points and a lot of considerations like taking into account the number of final passing submissions (usually 5 or more but not always) are missing....
Re: Leaderboards are Up! (response to post by f0rc0d3r) | Reply
# of Submissions that Pass Review:

actually means

# of Submissions that got placed or # of submissions that won a prize.

Total points = 1st place amount. So if first place is $1600, then total points is 1600

- ... there are three contest prizes (final prizes), 5 final submissions, and only two submissions were declared as winners (had a prize)? (3 prizes, 5 submissions, 2 winners)

1st place - 70 % of total points
2nd place - 30 % of total points

- ... there are three prizes, 5 final submissions, and three submissions were declared as winners (had a prize)? (3 prizes, 5 submissions, 3 winners)

1st place - 65% of total points
2nd place - 25% of total points
3rd place - 10 % of total points

- ... there are three prizes, 3 final submissions and all of them had a prize? (3 prizes, 3 submissions, 3 winners)
1st place - 65% of total points
2nd place - 25% of total points
3rd place - 10 % of total points

- ... there are three prizes, 2 final submissions and all of them had a prize? (3 prizes, 2 submissions, 2 winners)

1st place - 70 % of total points
2nd place - 30 % of total points

This is how it is calculated now I think.
