Overview
In some cases, when clients would like to hold a "private" competition that has confidentiality terms in addition to the usual click-through terms, the competition will require a Competition Confidentiality Agreement
or "CCA" document to be completed prior to participation in the competition. (This agreement is sometimes also referred to as a Competition Non-Disclosure Agreement or "NDA".) The Competition Confidentiality Agreement requires members to strictly maintain the confidentiality of the competition materials.
The CCA requires members to maintain the confidentiality of all competition materials that the member has access to as part of the competition. The CCA may be used, for example, when a client does not want to make public the functionality or the branding information that is provided to the members as part of the competition, or which the members may develop during the competition.
The CCA is designed to apply only to those competitions which are designated as requiring a CCA for participation. Members can not gain access to the competition specifications or the private forums until they have submitted a CCA. If the member has a CCA on file, the member may access the competition without additional action. This page describes the CCA document and the submission process. Please direct any questions or comments to member-agreements@topcoder.com
.
Members can submit a CCA at the time that they wish to join a private competition, at which time the document will be reviewed, or members can submit their CCA at any time prior to the competition.
Government-issued Photo Identification
Beginning July 14, 2011, TopCoder competitions that require a Competition Confidentiality Agreement (CCA) to participate also will require a copy of a government-issued photo identification. The government-issued photo identification may be a driver's license, passport, national ID card, or the equivalent.
Completing the CCA document
1. Download
and print the CCA that is attached
to this wiki page.
2. Fill out the CCA completely by hand and in ink, or the CCA will not be accepted. Do not use a scanned image, or sign using a computer tool. We do not accept digitally signed documents.
3. Include details for: Street Number/Name, City, Province, and Country, mail codes, Apartment Number etc. or the CCA will not be accepted. The address information must match the information in your TopCoder profile. Please update your TopCoder profile prior to submitting your CCA. If the address in your profile does not match, the CCA will not be accepted.
4. The CCA and Government ID can be returned by email, fax, or mail.
