I am unable to view any "Active Bugs".  This message is displayed on Nov14 11:03 PM IST:

Posted by javadi82 at Nov 14, 2008 12:30

It's a generic server load problem... It will come back up soon (it did already! )

Posted by mistr305 at Nov 15, 2008 16:36

ignore.

Posted by born.to.try. at Nov 17, 2008 03:37

I think there should be contest "abandoned" timeout.

If the contest creator doesnot respond within 1 month & the contest is inactive for atleast 2 months; It should be taken down.

Posted by mistr305 at Nov 19, 2008 08:33

Good.

Someone please take care of bug races at the bottom, almost all of them have received submissions.

Please help bring that "fresh" feeling back!

Posted by mistr305 at Jan 18, 2009 23:32

We're working to clean up the bug races - you should see some improvement shortly.

Posted by rsial2 at Jan 19, 2009 14:26

I viewed few bugs, but every time I see an info on the left side:
"You don't have permission to work on this issue."
What does it mean? Is it possible to solve those bugs or not?

Are you logged in? Other than being a TopCoder member there isn't any restriction. The instructions for how to compete can be found there: http://www.topcoder.com/wiki/display/tc/Bug+Races

Tony

Hi,

You can see the explanation of how to compete here: http://www.topcoder.com/wiki/display/tc/Bug+Races

Thanks.

Posted by tonyj at May 27, 2009 08:08

I think there should be another column in the above table stating the programming language the project is developed in.

Posted by aalmamun at Sep 13, 2009 14:44

I agree, this would make selection of possible projects a lot easier.

Posted by cmargulhano at Jan 28, 2011 12:05

Hi cmargulhano,

Thanks for alerting us to the old bug races. As we do take them seriously, we'll contact the owners of the old Bug Races so they can clean them up.

Thanks,
Tony

Posted by tonyj at Jan 28, 2011 12:17

It will be good if each bug will have the list of technologies required for solution successfully performing.

Posted by zpetrovich at Apr 04, 2011 12:24

Hi. A quick question: I'm new to TopCoder and JIRA, so I need a little help with the system. I got

Payment placed on hold for the following reasons:

  • One exactly of either ProjectID or StudioID must be filled out.

Is this something for me to address? If so, what is it that I need to do, and how? Is there a written guide on the site? Couldn't find anything pertaining specifically to this.

Tnx.

Posted by yog-sothoth at Aug 10, 2011 06:28

Hi yog-sothoth,

this was because the BUGR that you participated, the code of the project is missing, so JIRA it does not make the payment. The person responsible for BUGR also received a notification and will be upgraded soon and release the payment.

Posted by luizrrodrigues at Aug 10, 2011 07:02

Thanks. It was one of several create-a-banner bug races (same BUGR project manager), and as such it didn't involve any code; as I was searching around trying to figure it out, I stumbled upon the jira_payments, and noticed that in the Activity Stream the other competitors have received the same message - so, this means that the problem will be fixed for the others, as well?

Posted by yog-sothoth at Aug 10, 2011 07:47

All BUGR have a project code in Top Coder...

Probably responsible for BUGR forgot to put a project code in all these bug's.

Contact the responsible leaving a comment on the page that you do BUGR participated.

If you guys didn't notice: there's a xslt transform error or some other IOException instead of the active bugraces listing... At least that's what I'm seeing.

I wouldn't say it's a good programming practice to expose confidential username and password information in an error message like that...

Somebody inform somebody.

Posted by yog-sothoth at Aug 12, 2011 10:40

OK now.

Posted by yog-sothoth at Aug 12, 2011 11:46

This error is occurring again.  Can someone fix please.

Posted by tashman at Aug 13, 2011 10:49

Fixed

I am not able to view any "Active Bugs". Clicking on bug link it is saying that Login required, if i  enter my topcode credentials it is not allowing to login. Please advice me how to proceed further

Posted by sathish_457 at Sep 19, 2011 14:06

Usernames and passwords are case sensitive. Are you sure you have the correct case?

Posted by tonyj at Sep 19, 2011 14:29

yes i am sure i entered correct credentials only....

Posted by sathish_457 at Sep 20, 2011 10:50

RSS doesn't seem to work. Not only in Firefox, but also in online and system RSS readers.

Posted by claygirl at Oct 08, 2011 08:51

For me to

Please note, that rss for design/development/assembly competitions works ok. It's definitely something wrong with bug races' rss.

Posted by kennyalive at Oct 12, 2011 07:11

Am I the only person who has this beautiful xslt?

Posted by claygirl at Oct 10, 2011 06:33

Nope. I have it, too...

Happens from time to time...

Come on guys, you have a community of developers here, someone must be able to fix this?!

(I mean, for good.)

Posted by yog-sothoth at Oct 23, 2011 07:45

RSS feeds works in local browser environment but if I want to add these feed to my google reader or somewhere else feeds doesn't work. The RSS for UI prototype and other competitions works normally everywhere.

Posted by hi4sandy at Nov 25, 2011 23:32

I'm also having an issue with the RSS feed. Clicking 'RSS' results in : HTTP Status 400 - The value 'BUGR' does not exist for the field 'project'.

Posted by mcarthey at Dec 09, 2011 09:30

This problem is occurring so frequently now-a-days. Can TC team do something about it, please.
