C++ efficiency tester | Reply
As many of you know, we have outsourced a java efficiency tester that will be integrated into our system sometime in the near future. However, since we will also be allowing coders the choice of languages to code in, we'll be needing a C++ efficiency tester (one that measures runtime in some objective way, and also resource usage). I don't think we're to the point of choosing anyone for this project just yet, but if you're interested in something like this, and have some ideas about how it could be accomplished, email service@topcoder.com with your thoughts, and we'll keep you posted.

If this metric of efficiency will affect our scores, will the exact details of how it works be posted? I need to know exactly how my code will affect the tester, so I can exploit it to achieve a minimal score.
